Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 3, 2026

Who we are

Secaura is an independent research tool for public-company filings. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use Secaura at secaura.ai, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Secaura is not a broker-dealer or investment adviser, and is not affiliated with the SEC or any company it covers.

Information we collect

Account information from Google. When you choose “Continue with Google,” Google shares your name, email address, and profile picture with us so we can create and secure your account. We do not receive your Google password, and we request only the basic profile and email scopes — no access to Gmail, Drive, Contacts, or any other Google service.

Usage information. To operate the product we store the questions you ask, the companies you view, your subscription tier, and basic activity needed to enforce fair-use limits (for example, a daily message count).

Technical information. Like most web services, our infrastructure providers process standard technical data such as IP address and browser type for security, and we use privacy-respecting error monitoring to diagnose crashes.

How we use your information

We use your information only to: authenticate you and keep your account secure; provide and improve the research features; enforce usage limits and prevent abuse; and respond to your support requests. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google user data

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. The Google account data we receive (your name, email, and profile picture) is used solely to create and operate your Secaura account. We do not transfer this data to others except as needed to provide the service, do not use it for advertising, and do not allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security, or as required by law.

Where your data is stored and who processes it

We rely on a small set of trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:
  • Supabase — authentication and database (your account and usage data).
  • Vercel and Railway — application hosting.
  • Google — sign-in.
  • Sentry — error monitoring (may include limited technical diagnostics).
Company and financial data shown in Secaura comes from public sources such as SEC EDGAR and does not identify you.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar browser storage strictly to keep you signed in and to operate the service. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time by contacting us at the address below; we will delete it unless we are required to retain it by law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You can also revoke Secaura’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

Children

Secaura is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective date” above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
